Background

Central Bedfordshire Council is the local authority for the Central Bedfordshire unitary authority area.

Challenge

The existing system was analogue and producing poor quality images, with multiple system faults. The system had been poorly maintained and therefore not up to high definition video standards.

Solution

Once awarded the job, we immediately arranged all meetings and site visits with the relevant parties, in order to create a final implementation plan.

Over the course of 18 weeks, DSSL Group engineers installed 210 HD CCTV cameras alongside Genetec security centre. This includes Bosch MIC PTZ cameras, creating the ultimate public space CCTV solution.

Central Bedfordshire council (CBC) is now a reliable hub for all small council’s and parish town council’s to utilise 4G networks and other CCTV systems, all of which stream back to the CBC control centre. After completing this project, we are now working with Ampthill TC and Flitwick TC.
